6 Beautiful Motorbike Routes Around Nha Trang

Nha Trang is much more than its city beach — the real magic of this region lies on the coastal and mountain roads around it, and the best way to experience them is on a motorbike, stopping wherever the view demands it. Here are the six routes our guests at Bike Nha Trang love most, with realistic distances so you can plan your days.

1. Hon Chong – Pham Van Dong – Luong Son (12–15 km)

The perfect warm-up ride, starting right in the Hon Chong area where our shop is located. Pham Van Dong road hugs the coastline, with cliffs on one side and the turquoise bay on the other. Stop at the Hon Chong rock formations, grab a sea-view coffee, then continue north to the quiet Luong Son beach. Ride it at sunrise if you can — it is worth the early alarm.

2. Cu Hin Pass — the famous coastal pass (20–25 km)

Head south along Nguyen Tat Thanh boulevard toward Cam Ranh airport and you climb Cu Hin pass — a gentle, wide, well-paved mountain road curving along the hillside high above the sea. Several viewpoints look out over the whole bay of Nha Trang, and the sunset from up there is spectacular. The road quality is excellent, so this route suits beginner riders too.

3. Bai Dai Beach — wild sand near the airport (28–30 km)

Just past Cu Hin pass lies Bai Dai — kilometers of white sand with shallow, clean water. Simple seafood shacks sit right on the beach, noticeably cheaper than in the city. Cu Hin plus Bai Dai is the classic half-day loop: ride out in the morning, seafood lunch on the sand, cruise back in the afternoon.

4. DT702 to Vinh Hy — one of Vietnam's most beautiful coast roads (~100 km)

Save this one for a full free day: ride south and follow provincial road DT702 through Binh Tien to Vinh Hy bay in Ninh Thuan province. The road winds between rocky mountains and a deep-blue sea, passing untouched little coves. It is roughly 100 km each way, so start early, fill the tank, and bring sunscreen. Many of our guests call this the single most beautiful road of their entire Vietnam trip.

5. Ba Ho Waterfalls — a ride plus a hike (25 km)

About 25 km north along Highway 1 brings you to Ba Ho (in Ninh Ich) — a jungle stream with three clear natural pools. You ride to the entrance, then scramble along the rocks for 40–60 minutes. Bring grippy shoes and a swimsuit. A great choice for a day when you want some exercise, not just scenery.

6. Cai River – Dien Khanh — Nha Trang without the sea (10–15 km)

Fancy a change? Follow the Cai river west through villages, rice fields, and fruit orchards to the old Dien Khanh citadel, a Nguyen-dynasty fortress with its moss-covered gates still standing. Short, flat, and quiet — ideal for a late afternoon.
